Important Notification – New Mastercard Airport Lounge Access Program
Effective from October 1st, 2021, Mastercard is introducing a new airport lounge program called ‘Mastercard Airport Pass MEA’. The new program will be accessible via a mobile app and web solution which will replace the existing airport lounge program applicable on your Doha Bank Lulu Platinum Mastercard, Mastercard World and World Elite Debit Cards.
The new airport lounge access program will give you hassle free access to over 1,100+ lounges worldwide including access to Oryx Lounge at Hamad International Airport, Doha.
The airport lounge benefit will remain the same as previously accessible with your eligible Doha Bank Mastercard debit or credit cards, only the fulfillment method is changing to a digital medium via a mobile app under which your journey will be fully digitized and you will no longer be required to present your Doha Bank Mastercard to access the lounge.
The entire end-to-end journey of finding a nearby lounge, accessing the lounge through QR presentment and any subsequent charges, will all be done and presented via the new app. Alternatively, you can also use the web solution to register your eligible Mastercard card and print your membership document containing the QR code and DragonPass membership number and show the physical paper at respective lounges to get access.

How to Register?
Registration is simple with just 4 easy steps: –
- Download the ‘Mastercard Airport Pass MEA’ mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
- Enter your Doha Bank Lulu Platinum Mastercard, Mastercard World and / or World Elite Debit Cards plus a few personal details.
- Create a Password.
- The account is set up and ready to go.

Alternatively, you can also use the web solution https://mastercardmea.dragonpass.com to register your eligible Doha Bank Mastercard credit or debit card and print your membership document containing the QR code and DragonPass membership ID and show the physical paper at eligible lounges to get access.
However, we recommend to download and register on the Mastercard Airport Pass MEA mobile app as it offers a real time seamless experience from viewing eligible lounges, generating QR code, viewing history and accessing lounges without the hassle to print papers or even presenting your physical card.

Note: Primary and Supplementary cardholders need to download Mastercard Airport Pass MEA app and register their individual Mastercard cards, in order to avoid additional guest charges.
What happens to my existing Lounge Access Program?
There will be a transition period of 3 months (discontinuation effective date: January 1, 2022) during which your existing lounge access program applicable on your Doha Bank Lulu Platinum Mastercard, Mastercard World and World Elite Debit Cards will be running in parallel. From January 1, 2022 onwards, you will only be able to use the Mastercard Airport Pass MEA app to access airport lounges. Therefore, it is advised to download the ‘Mastercard Airport Pass’ mobile app to avoid any inconvenience in the future.

No, there is a transition period of 3 months during which both Mastercard Airport Pass and your existing program will be running in parallel, giving you enough time to register and use the Mastercard Airport Pass
The existing program applicable to your card will be discontinued effective 1st January 2022, and from January onwards, you can only be able to use the Mastercard Airport Pass MEA app to access airport lounges.
The airport lounge benefit mostly remains the same as previously accessible with your eligible Mastercard cards. The only change is that your Doha Bank Mastercard debit and credit card will now have access to Oryx Lounge at Hamad International Airport in Qatar. Apart from that there are no changes to the lounge offered by Mastercard.
The eligible lounges can be viewed by downloading the Mastercard Airport Pass MEA app and searching for available lounges by card type.
