Security and Privacy
When you make a purchase, Apple Pay uses a device-specific number and a unique transaction code. Your full card number is never stored on your device or on Apple servers, and it can’t be shared with merchants. Apple Pay doesn’t keep transaction information that can be tied back to you, ensuring all purchases are private.
How to Add a Card
Adding your Doha Bank card to Apple Pay is simple. Here’s how to get started.
Mobile Banking
- Login to DB Mobile Banking application using credentials or biometric access.
- Click on Setup “Apple Pay” icon.
- Choose the card you wish to enroll for Apple Pay and click on “Add to Apple Wallet”.
- Click on Continue.
- Verify cardholder details and click “Next”;.
- Accept Terms and Conditions.
- Your card has now been added to Apple Wallet for Apple Pay.
iPhone
- Open the Wallet app.
- Tap the “+” sign in the upper-right corner.
- Enter your card’s security code to add your credit or debit card affiliated with your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card,” and use your iPhone camera to scan the card information.
Apple Watch
- Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” and select “Add Credit or Debit Card”.
- Enter your card’s security code to add your credit or debit card affiliated with your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card,” and use your iPhone camera to scan the card information.
iPad
- Go to Settings.
- Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” and select “Add Credit or Debit Card”.
- Enter your card’s security code to add your credit or debit card affiliated with your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card,” and use your iPad camera to scan the card information.
MacBook Pro with Touch ID
- Go to System Preferences.
- Select “Wallet & Apple Pay” and select “Add Card”.
- Enter your card’s security code to add your credit or debit card affiliated with your iTunes account. Or, select “Add a different card,” and use your MacBook Pro camera to scan the card information.
How to Pay
Pay safer and faster with Apple Pay.
Apple Pay is the safer, faster way to pay in stores and check out quickly using your iPhone and Apple Watch. To pay with Face ID, double-click the side button, glance at your screen, then hold iPhone near the reader. For Touch ID, hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID. On Apple Watch, double-click the side button and hold Apple Watch up to the reader.
To pay in apps and on websites in Safari on your iPhone and iPad, select Apple Pay at checkout and complete the payment using Face ID or Touch ID.

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service which allows you to make payments in-store, in-app and eCommerce using certain Apple devices where Apple Pay is supported.
Apple Pay works based on “Near Field Communication – NFC” technology where you will perform contactless payments with your Apple device at POS terminals. This technology enables the devices in close proximity to communicate without any direct physical contact. For In-App purchases, “Tokenization” technology is used to protect your original card details from being shared with the merchant online, an encrypted token will be used to authorize the payment online.
Apple Pay can be used at any merchant POS terminal, eCommerce site or In-App payment which supports Apple Pay.
You can enroll all Doha Bank issued Debit and credit cards for Apple Pay.
If the device is of a newer model, iPhone X or above, you can add up to 12 unique Doha Bank cards. Earlier device models will support only 8 unique Doha Bank cards.
The first card added to the Wallet app becomes the default card for the device. To change a default card, please follow below steps:
iPhone
Step1: Open the Wallet app.
Step2: Touch and hold your finger over the card you want to make as a default card.
Step3: Drag the card to the front of the cards in the Apple Pay section.
Apple Watch
Step1: Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Step2: Go to the My Watch tab.
Step3: Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” option and then Default Card. Choose a new card to set as default card.
iPad
Step1: Go to Settings.
Step2: Tap “Wallet & Apple Pay” and then Default Card. Choose a new card to set as default card.
There’re no charges applied on using Apple Pay.
You are not required to log into the application. You must authenticate the transaction using your preferred authentication method.
The transaction limit for Apple Pay is same as the existing physical card limit.
No, you do not have to enter the PIN while making the transactions. The verification is done using the Face ID, Touch ID for performing any transaction amount.
Apple Pay will work in all countries where merchants accept contactless payments.
To remove your card from Apple Pay, please follow below steps:
iPhone
Step1: Open the Wallet app.
Step2: Select the card and then tap ( 
) symbol to see all of your the card details.
Step3: Scroll down and select Remove Card.
Apple Watch
Step1: Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
Step2: Go to the My Watch tab.
Step3: Tap Wallet & Apple Pay option and then Default Card.
Step4: Tap the card and then tap Remove Card.
iPad
Step1: Go to Settings on your iPad.
Step2: Tap Wallet & Apple Pay option and then Remove Card.
Step3: Choose the card to be removed from Apple Pay.
Note: All the enrolled cards will be removed from Apple Pay on the device if you remove your device passcode or Touch ID/Face ID security feature or sign out of iCloud.

Please contact our call center on +974 4445 6000 to disable / delete your cards for Apple Pay use. You can use the Find My iPhone app where you can remotely lock the device and disable the use of the Apple Pay function. Or you can log into iCloud.com to suspend or remove all the cards from Apple Pay remotely.
This option enables the user to temporarily block / unblock all the transactions associated with the card.
