Doha Bank sponsors Al Ruwad Business Case Competition for the 4th year

In keeping with its commitment to continue promoting initiatives that provide a platform for the region’s brightest young minds pursuing careers in the fields of business and finance, Doha Bank reiterated its support for the coveted Al Ruwad Business Case Competition, hosted by the College of the North Atlantic – Qatar (CNAQ recently.

Open to Universities and Colleges across all post-secondary institutions in Qatar and sponsored by Doha Bank for the 4th consecutive year, the prestigious competition was launched by CNA-Q after hosting a business case competition for over 10 years, to encourage stronger participation from regional institutions.

The competition tests the students’ ability to evaluate a number of business cases focusing on any one aspect of business from marketing, finance or human resources. The format challenges teams to compete against each other in a round-robin fashion, with top four teams with the highest scores making it to the final round.

Participating teams represented a number of top universities from Qatar, including the host CNA-Q, Stenden University Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Qatar University, Faculty of Islamic Studies – and Hamad bin Khalifa University.. A team of expert judges evaluated all the cases presented by the participants resulting in one team from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar winning the top place.
