The program aims to provide suitable Iftar meals for fasting people who are in need in line with the spirit of giving embodied in the Holy Month of Ramadan

In recognition of its commitment to supporting humanitarian issues and charitable endeavors, and revitalizing the spirit of solidarity among the community and supporting all initiatives that have a positive impact on the lives of the less fortunate people, Doha Bank, one of the largest private commercial banks in Qatar, has lately donated an amount of 100,000 QR to Qatar Red Crescent, a voluntary humanitarian organization in Qatar and a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in Geneva, in support of “Ramadan Iftar” campaign annually organized by Qatar Red Crescent.

Mr. Ahmed Al Henzab, Head of Administration & Properties Department at Doha Bank has given the donation cheque to Mr.Saad Shaheen AL-Kaabi, Director of Resource Mobilization Department and Mr.Hamid Moharrar, Head of Corporate Relations at Qatar Red Crescent.

The aim of “Ramadan Iftar ” campaign, which is held every year during the Holy Month of Ramadan by Qatar Red Crescent inside and outside Qatar, is to meet the needs of poor and needy fasting people by setting up a number of Ramadan Iftar tables or by distributing food parcels.

“As part of our extensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Doha Bank supports social programs and humanitarian issues to help people in need and to positively affect the lives of poor people inside and outside Qatar,” said Mr. Ahmed Al Henzab. The “Ramadan Iftar “campaign organized by Qatar Red Crescent every year during the Holy Month of Ramadan is in line with the spirit of giving and the values of solidarity and coherence embodied among the different segments of society during the Holy Month of Ramadan. Doha Bank’s support for Qatar Red Crescent is part of its firm commitment to the community. As every year, we provide financial assistance to leading non-profit organizations in Qatar. This tradition has evolved into an integral part of Doha Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program.
